8th Pay Commission: The more time it is taking to form the eighth pay commission, the more the agitation among employees is building. Central employees have been demanding that the 8th pay commission should be implemented for years, but only a cloud of confusion is hovering in this regard till now. Recently, on Thursday, all the central employees along with the Mazdoor Mahasangh wrote a letter to the PM of the country complaining that there should be something round the corner regarding the eighth pay commission. The fact is that inflation seems to be on the increase; a decision should be taken on a new pay commission by the government.

8th Pay Commission New Update 

The day goes by as central workers juggle between their duties and the eighth pay commission. Just to let you know, yesterday, on Thursday, a letter’s worth of information has been done for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the central employees and the Mazdoor Mahasangh of this country. It has been penned in this letter that the prices of commodities are expected to shoot through the sky.

In the federation’s letter, it has been said that the last pay commission was implemented some time back in January of the year 2016. Since then, the dearness nature has gone up by more than 53%. In this way, after the Kovid pandemic, prices have gone up very much on several items. All of these issues are making life much harder for the central workers and pensioners. These problems affect government employees and pensioners in a much worse way.

Salary And Pension After 8th Pay Commission

As and when the Eighth Pay Commission gets into operation, it is expected to take 65 lakh pensioners plus 48 lakh central employees into its fold. In such a scenario, the minimum basic salary for 2022 could rise from Rs 18000 to Rs 34560 or even higher. Similar benefits shall come gifts under the new pay commission for those who are still on service while being under pensioner status. It may be noted that at this stage, therefore, pensioners may have to claim a minimum pen- sion of about Rs 17280. In this case, it would imply that inflation is not going to harm the lives of central employees and pensioners.

At this point, as we informed you, the government’s position was quite clear that they will not bring any 8th Pay Commission or anything related to it. It is to be noted that a letter has also been sent in the name of the central employees and Mazdoor Mahasangh to the honorable Prime Minister. Now, it remains to be seen whether our PM fulfills this demand of his central employees or not. Well, the implementation of Eighth Pay Commission hinges on several factors. Therefore, the gov-ernment is not willing to do anything in haste.
